Fuel in Turks and Caicos
The Turks and Caicos, and especially the island of Providenciales, is a popular destination for yachts and sailing. Conveniently, Providenciales is also located halfway between Florida and Puerto Rico. The island of Grand Turk is the administrative, historic, cultural and financial center of the territory, and has the second largest population of the islands at approximately 3,720 people.
Turks and Caicos offers many marinas and harbors to choose from, and the larger sites can accommodate vessels with a maximum draft of 8.5 feet at low tide. The islands also boast deeper water moorings for vessels with greater drafts.
The Grand Turk Cruise Center is a world-class, beach front cruise facility located just minutes away from downtown Cockburn and the JAGS McCartney Airport. The cruise center’s location and the island’s geography offer vessels a safe approach and berthing year-round. The Grand Turk Cruise Center features a purpose-built, two-berth cruise ship pier. There are no restrictions on length and the depth alongside is 33 feet (10 meters).
